On 20 June 2014 football clubs FC Shakhter and FC Kairat agreed a transfer of the player and Stanislav Lunin signed a contract for 2.5 years with FC Kairat.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref> He joined the team as an attacking footballer then because of high competition there he had to change his position and became a defender.
