Nur, Iran

Overview

Located on the Caspian Sea coast, Nur is one of the oldest cities of west Mazandaran Province.Template:Citation needed It derives its name from Nur County, of which it is the administrative seat.

Nur is the ancestral home of Bahá'u'lláh, founder of the Bahá'í Faith.<ref name="iranica_bahaullah">Template:Cite encyclopedia</ref>
