A former graduate of Yonsei University, he debuted with Anyang Halla in 2002. After 4 seasons, he signed with Jokipojat Joensuu for the 2006–07 season. After one season in the Mestis league, he moved back to his old team.<ref name="anyanghalla.com">Template:Cite web</ref><ref>Template:Cite web</ref> He was named the team's captain in 2007.
