Marius Croitoru

Marius Marian Croitoru (born 2 October 1980 in Giurgiu) is a Romanian footballer who plays as a midfielder. He plays for Poli Timișoara.

He possesses a powerful shot and has good technique. He can also take free kicks very well. At the end of 2007, the midfielder was axed from the first team and has been linked with: Hapoel Ironi Kiryat Shmona F.C., Gloria Buzău, Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț and Politehnica Iași. In the end, he was loaned to Ceahlăul Piatra Neamț<ref>Steaua si Ceahlaul au ajuns la un acord pentru imprumutul lui Croitoru la Piatra Neamt</ref>

Club career

Prior to 2007, when Croitoru joined Steaua București, he played for Turistul București, FCM Bacău and FC Vaslui.

In the first part of Liga I 2006–2007 season, he and Viorel Frunză were the key-players for FC Vaslui.
