Template:Infobox football biography Vitaliy Kafanov (born 24 May 1960) is a retired Kazakhstani-Turkmenistani football player. He is a goalkeepers' coach with FC Rostov.

He began his career with Kolkozchi Ashkhabad, before spending one season with Uralmash Yekaterinburg in the Soviet First League<ref>Template:Cite web</ref> and finishing his career with FC Kairat.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

Kafanov made six appearances for the Kazakhstan national football team in 1992. He later appeared twice for the Turkmenistan national football team.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>

Following his playing career, Kafanov became a manager, most recently with FC Rubin Kazan.<ref>Template:Cite web</ref>
