From April 2011 to January 20, 2012 Ermegiyayev was Minister of Tourism and Sport of Kazakhstan (currently does not exist).

On January 20, 2012 the Ministry of Tourism and Sport was reorganized and Kazakhstan Agency of Sport and Physical Culture was created.
