==Biography==<br />
In 1984, Omarova graduated from the journalism faculty of [[Al-Farabi University]]. From 1986 to 1988 she worked in television as assistant administrator and director. In 1998, she graduated from the [[Kazakh National Academy of Arts|State Institute of Theatre and Cinema]] in Almaty on specialty "documentary film and television director". Since 2001, she has been living and working in the [[Netherlands]]. The first notable role was in the film ''Shiza'', which succeeded in winning of several prizes.<br />
