'''Brandt's bat''' (''Myotis brandtii'') is a species of [[vesper bat]] in the family [[Vespertilionidae]].
It is found throughout most of Europe and parts of Asia. It is known for its extreme [[life expectancy]] relative to its body size, approximately twice that of humans.<ref name="Locke">{{cite journal | author = Robert Locke | year = 2006 | title = The oldest bat | journal = BATS Magazine | volume = 24 | issue = 2 }}</ref>
The Brandt's bat holds the record for oldest bat recorded; in 2006, a [[Animal migration tracking#Technologies for tracking|banded]] bat was discovered in a cave in Siberia that had been banded in 1964, making the bat at least 41 years old.<ref name="Locke"/>

It is named for the German zoologist [[Johann Friedrich von Brandt]].
