Anton Schneider was born in [[Tokmok]], [[Kirghiz Soviet Socialist Republic|Kirghiz SSR]] in the [[Soviet Union]]. His parents were [[Black Sea Germans|ethnic Germans]] from [[Ukraine]] who were sent by [[Joseph Stalin|Stalin]] to gulags in the Ural Mountains after the [[World War Two|Second World War]].
