The source of the Aschiagara is located on the southern slopes of Karatau, north of the town of [[Kuryk]]. The width of the bed ranges from {{convert|10|to|50|m|ft}}, and the depth is {{convert|1|to|4|m|ft|0}}.<br /> <br /> The average annual water flow at the mouth about {{convert|5|m3/s|cuft/s}}, and in April during snow melt there has been an increase in flood levels by {{convert|4|to|5|m|ft|0}} on average.
