Kazy is a common element on a [[dastarkhan]], a table set for a festive meal.

==Preparation==
Horse flesh ribs are cut out with the meat and hung for 5-7 hours to drain the remaining blood. The intestines of the horse are thoroughly washed and kept in saline water for 1–2 hours. The meat from the ribs is salted, seasoned with [[Black pepper|pepper]] and [[garlic]] and left roped in cloth for 2–3 hours. Then the intestines are filled with the rib meat and the two ends of the filled [[intestine]] are tied. After this preparation, the kazy can be smoked or hung to dry for a week at a sun-lit placed exposed to wind. Smoking is performed in a thick smoke of 50-60° for 12–18 hours.

Before serving, the kazy is cooked in boiling water for 2 hours. The cooked kazy is sliced into 1 cm thick pieces and served with [[onion]] and seasonal crops.

==Career==
Dinmukhamet Akhimov has been acting since 1968. He graduated from a two-year course at "Kazakhfilm" picture studio. In 1970 he entered in the All-Union State Film Institute of [[Order of the Red Banner of Labour]] ([[Moscow]]) to the course of the People's Artist of [[USSR]] [[Boris Babochkin]] and in 1974 he successfully graduated from this Institute. His thesis work was a leading role in the play of [[William Shakespeare]]'s "[[Othello]]" and a role of the city-provost in the play of [[Nikolai Gogol]] "The Inspector General" In 1987 he entered the stage direction faculty of [[Almaty]] State Art and Theatre Institute named after T. Zhurgenov (nowadays Cinema Academy), which he graduated from in 1990.

During his 48-year career in acting he has appeared in over 100 films at 13 film studios of former [[USSR]] and non-CIS countries: [[Czechoslovakia]], [[Poland]], [[Germany]], [[Italy]], [[Switzerland]], [[France]], [[Japan]], [[India]], [[Iran]], and others. He currently resides in [[Almaty]], [[Kazakhstan]].

In 1990, his work in cinematography was awarded the "Honoured Artist of [[Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic|Kazakh SSR]]"

In 2008 Dinmukhamet Akhimov received the "[[Order of Kurmet|Kurmet]]" medal for the achievements in movies and TV industry.<ref>{{cite web

The '''[[2009–10 KHL season|2009–10]] [[Barys Astana]] season''' was the [[Kontinental Hockey League]] franchise's [[List of Barys Astana seasons|2nd]] season of play. The [[2009–10 KHL season|2009–10 season]] saw Barys have a very similar season than the previous. Veteran [[Jozef Stümpel]] finished top scorer of the team, with 13 goals and 39 assists (52 points), two better than [[Maxim Spiridonov]], who was the best goal scorer of the team with 24. Fan favourite [[Kevin Dallman]] also was a major contributor, with 14 goals and 27 assists. Newcomer [[Jeff Glass]] did a fine job between the pipes, with 19 wins and a 2.87 goals against average, helping the team finish fourteenth overall of the KHL, a one place improvement from 2008–09. Barys was however once again swept in three games by [[Ak Bars Kazan]] in the first round of the playoffs.

With Russia's joining of the [[First World War]] on the side of [[Triple Entente]] against the [[German Empire]], a policy of mass deportation of the German minorities in Russia was implemented. As a significant number of Russia's Lutherans were German or German-speaking, this severely affected the Lutheran church.<ref name="GRHS" />

The [[Russian Revolution]] of 1917 and the end of the First World War in 1918 also brought tremendous changes to the Lutheran church. The former Russian territories of [[Estonia]], [[Finland]], [[Latvia]], [[Lithuania]], and [[Poland]], with large Lutheran populations, gained independence.<ref name="EWCR-Sorokina" /> In December 1917, schools and seminaries were nationalized; by 1918, this extended to all properties of the church, including church buildings. By 1921, religious instruction to persons under the age of 18 was banned.<ref name="Stricker-2" />

The deportation policies of the Tsarist era was continued in some areas, bolstered by the participation of whole German-speaking communities on the side of the [[White movement|White Russians]] against the [[Bolsheviks]] in the [[Russian Civil War]].<ref name="GRHS" />

In 1924, the remaining clergy of the ELCR met in a General Synod in Moscow to re-organise the church. The reorganised ELCR was put under the supervision of two elected bishops, [[Artur Malmgren]] of Leningrad and [[Theophil Meyer]] of Moscow. Despite approval of a new constitution for the Lutheran church in 1924 by the new Bolshevik government, the [[Collective farming|collectivization]] policies of [[Joseph Stalin]] in 1928 scattered the population, and official anti-religion campaigns intensified in the 1930s under the authority of the 1929 Law on Religion resulting in the incarceration of pastors in deportation camps and, in some cases, their executions.<ref name="EWCR-Sorokina" /><ref name="Stricker-2" />

In 1936, Bishop Malmgren left Russia for Germany; by 1937, the ELCR had ceased to exist as an organized body.<ref name="GRHS" />

===Second World War and the post war period===
The Second World War brought another upheaval to the Lutheran communities. The remaining Lutherans survived the collapse of the ELCR by joining existing ''Brethren communities'' ({{lang-de|Bruedergemeinden}}), in which leadership and pastoral care was given by laypeople. Such ''Brethren communities'', heavily influenced by [[Pietism]], had been in existence since the 19th century but had managed to survive the persecutions of the Soviet state due to their fluid structure. In 1955, three ELCR pastors who had survived the concentration camps and deportations visited the underground ''Brethren congregations'' in the deportation regions in attempts to regularize the administration of the churches, but they were in most cases unsuccessful<ref name="Stricker-2" />

The Soviet annexation of the [[Baltic states]] in 1944 also brought back a significant Lutheran population and the various Lutheran Churches that were established in these territories were allowed to function with the [[Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia]] registered in 1940 and the [[Estonian Evangelical Lutheran Church]] in 1949, although they, too, were targets of repression and controls.<ref name="Stricker" />

Ecclesiastical authority is vested in the office of the Archbishop, whose nominal seat is the [[Lutheran Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul|Church of St Peter and St Paul]] in St Petersburg. The Archbishop and the bishops of the regional Lutheran denominations within ELCROS form an Episcopal Council.

The main governing body of ELCROS is the General Synod, which meets every five years, while executive authority is vested with the Church Synod. The Church Synod is chaired by the General [[Consistory (Protestantism)|Consistory]], headed by the Archbishop, and the Synod further comprises two members from the Episcopal Council and the Presidium of the General Synod.

The Archbishop is the [[Primate (bishop)|Primate]] of ELCROS, the chairman of the General Synod, the president of the Episcopal Council, and head of the St Petersburg-based consistory.

The main legal act establishing and regulating [[taxation]] in [[Kazakhstan]] is the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget (the “[[Tax code|Tax Code]]”). The Tax Code was adopted on 10 December 2008 and came into effect as of 1 January 2009.

==Historical Development==
Kazakhstan declared its sovereignty as a member of the [[USSR]] in October 1990, and following the dissolution of the Soviet Union the country declared independence in December 1991. The first piece of Tax Legislation of the sovereign republic was the 1991 decree “On Taxes from Enterprises, Associations and Organizations”.

In 1995 the [[Nursultan Nazarbayev|President]] issued a Decree “On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget" (the “Decree”), which regulated the tax system in Kazakhstan. The Decree only provided for general information on taxes and referred to several instructions which provided for specific information on each of the taxes.

In 2002 the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget (the “2002 Tax Code”) came into force. The 2002 Tax Code was a more comprehensive legal act than the Decree. In fact, the 2002 Tax Code regulated the relationships between the state and the taxpayer and provided for procedures on calculation and payment of taxes.

In 2008 the President announced that the Republic of Kazakhstan requires a new tax code, which should provide for lower tax rates and simplified tax administration procedures. As a result, the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan On Taxes and Other Obligatory Payments to the Budget (the “Tax Code”) was adopted on 10 December 2008 and came into force as of 1 January 2009.

Rivalries in the KHL

As the league is still young, many of the rivalries have carried over from the days of the [[Russian Superleague]], while others are new and may disappear. Some are based on geography, while others are based on team names or organization that these teams belonged to back in the [[Soviet Union]]. Not all teams have pronounced rivalries that don't change with each season - this article attempts to chronicle only those that last for multiple years.

Before relocating to Mytishchi, Atlant used to be known as Khimik and play in Voskresensk. After relocation, Voskresensk fielded a new team called Khimik in the Russian minor leagues. In the first season of the KHL, Khimik Voskresensk was invited to join the [[Russian Major League]] after it won the league and original invitee [[Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg]] could not fulfill its financial obligations. Not active since Khimik dropped out of the league after the first season due to financial issues (although it theoretically still holds KHL membership and could rejoin if finances allow). Most fans consider Khimik Voskresensk the true heir of Voskresensk hockey, and this rivalry was regarded as both a Moscow Oblast Derby, and an Organizational Derby.

Permanent divisions were first introduced to the KHL organizational structure in the second season, 2009-2010 (in the first season, the divisions were based on performance rather than geography, and were designed to be fluid. Starting in the second season, divisions became geographic in order to cut travel costs). As yet, notable rivalries due only to divisions have not really developed, although sports reporters always pay higher attention to games between the top two teams.

==Biography==

Zuev was born on in the [[Siberia]]n city of [[Tyumen|Tümen]] in a [[White-collar worker|white-collar]] family. Zuev studied in [[Leningrad State University]] to major in the historical studies of the Eastern countries, successfully learning [[Classical Chinese]], [[Middle Chinese]], and [[modern Chinese]]. In 1955, Zuev received a [[Bachelor of Arts|B.A.]] diploma and was sent to work in the Institute of History, Archeology and [[Ethnography]] of the [[Kazakh SSR]] Academy of Sciences. He received his [[Ph.D.]] in 1967. His PhD thesis "Ancient [[Turkic peoples|Turkic]] [[genealogy|genealogical]] legends as a source on early history of [[Turkic people]]" published a number of new discoveries about socio-political history of Turks, suggested [[etymology]] of the name of the [[Ashina]] tribe, traced historical past of the Turkic tribes in the Chinese genealogical legends, suggested a hypothesis about an ethnic [[triumvirate]] of Ashina-Ashide-[[Basmyl]]. It turned out that a main achievement in that publication became the etymology of the name of the Kagan tribe Ashina.

Zuev was a collaborator in fundamental editions of the [[USSR]] history: "Historical Atlas of the USSR peoples", "Historical atlas of the Kazakh SSR", and five-volume edition "History of the Kazakh SSR from most ancient times to the present". The mass of Zuev's work included analysis of the [[Kazakhstan]] and [[Central Asia]]n political history from the 3rd century BC to the 3rd century AD, history of ancient and medieval periods, ethnical composition and movement of tribes in the Western Turkic [[Kaganate]], pre-[[Mongols|Mongolian]] period (10th–12th centuries) history. Zuev wrote about genesis, ethnic composition and political history of the Türgesh Kaganate.

After the fall of the USSR, Zuev was able to publish a number of works on ancient and medieval history of nomadic peoples of the Central Asia and Kazakhstan. These are "Sarmato-Alans of Aral (Yancai\Abzoya)" (1995), "Ancient Turkic social terminology in the Chinese texts of the 8th century" (1998), "Creation of Türgesh Kaganate: history and tradition" (1996), "Forms of the ethno-social organization of Central Asia [[nomadic]] peoples in antiquity and Middle Ages: pied horde, centuria ([[Comparative history|comparative]] – [[Typology (anthropology)|typological]] study)" (1998), "Kypchak Urbe-khan in [[epic poetry|epos]] and history" (2001), "Manichaeism and Talas (interpretation of Ancient Turkic [[inscriptions]])" (2002), and others.

Тhe 70-year anniversary of the scientist in 2002 coincided with publication of his lifetime work, a [[monograph]] "Early Turks: Sketches of history and ideology", followed by "A Strongest Tribe" (2004) and "Seyanto Kaganate and Kimeks (Central Asian Turkic ethnogeography in the middle of the 7th century)" (2004).
