'''Shaken Onlasynovich Niyazbekov''' ({{lang-kk|Шәкен Оңласынұлы Ниязбеков}}, Şäken Oñlasınulı Nïyazbekov; {{lang-ru|Шакен Онласынович Ниязбеков}}; 12 November 1938-16 August 2014) was a [[Kazakhstan]] artist, the designer of the [[flag of Kazakhstan]] and credited as the founder of Kazakhstan design.

He was born on 12 November 1938 in [[Taraz]]. Shaken Niyazbekov left [[Secondary school]] and entered [[Leningrad art-industrial college]]. During studying in this college he participated in restoration works in the [[Hermitage Museum|Hermitage]], [[Isakiev’s cathedral]] and [[Petrodvorets]].
