==Philanthropy==
Ospanov is a sponsor of prominent professional Kazakh boxer [[Kanat Islam]].  Kanat was a Chinese amateur boxer of Kazakh ancestry. Baurzhan Ospanov asked him to change his citizenship and come to Kazakhstan. From January 2011, Kanat is a citizen of Kazakhstan.
